Tamar Juncos
I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m an Eco-Wellness Coach and nature-based practitioner with over a decade of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s most tender and transformative moments. My work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for the human nervous system, walking alongside people as they navigate grief, transition, identity shifts, relational healing, and the quiet (or loud) longing to feel whole again.
I am a Licensed Social Worker educated at the Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work, where I received rigorous clinical training grounded in ethics, relational work, and social justice. Over the years, I’ve held space in clinical and group settings, particularly around Intimate Partner Violence, emotional recovery, accountability, and resilience. In those spaces, I witnessed people at their most vulnerable, and their most
powerful.
Through that work, one truth became undeniable,
Healing doesn’t always happen sitting across from someone in a chair.
It happens in breath.
In movement.
In pauses.
And often, in relationship with the natural world.
That understanding is what led me here.
WHY ECO-WELLNESS & NATURE-BASED WORK
Today, my work centers on virtual, nature-based eco-coaching for people who are ready to reconnect with themselves in a more embodied, intuitive, and expansive way. My approach weaves together nervous-system awareness, reflective inquiry, and grounding practices inspired by the natural world. This work is not about fixing you...it’s about remembering who you are beneath the noise.
My practice is further informed by continuing education with the EarthBody Institute, an educational, professional, and transformational training forum dedicated to integrating Ecotherapy principles into healing, educational, and community-based work. The EarthBody Institute centers the belief that the power of a sacred, Earth-honoring community can enhance each person’s unique gifts and catalyze meaningful contributions toward the healing of our world.
Through this training, I continue to expand nature-based practices that support not only the mental health field, but also allied professions such as education, activism, coaching, and ministry, making this work accessible, inclusive, and deeply human.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK WITH ME
Working with me feels like being deeply seen and gently guided, like speaking with a trusted companion who brings both warmth and discernment. My background allows me to hold complexity with care, while this ecocentered container invites spaciousness, reflection, and reconnection.
This is a place where we move at the pace of the body.
Where nature is not just something we visit.
but a partner in the healing journey.
We grow here…
gently and powerfully, together.
ECO-COACHING VS. TRADITIONAL THERAPY
(Please Read Before Booking)
It’s important to be clear about the type of support I offer in this space.
Eco-Coaching is not traditional psychotherapy, and within this role I do not provide clinical mental health treatment, diagnosis, or therapy.
ECO-COACHING (WHAT I OFFER HERE)
Eco-Coaching is present-centered, forward-focused, and growth-oriented. Our work may include,
• Nature-inspired grounding and reflection practices
• Support through life transitions, stress, identity shifts, and burnout
• Building routines that support emotional regulation and clarity
• Exploring patterns, boundaries, and values through guided inquiry
• Reconnecting to the body, intuition, and inner wisdom
Eco-Coaching may be a good fit if you’re seeking,
• Personal growth and alignment
• A holistic, non-clinical approach to well-being
• Support that feels relational, embodied, and empowering
• Space to slow down and listen inward
TRADITIONAL THERAPY (WHAT THIS IS NOT)
Traditional Therapy typically includes,
• Mental health diagnosis and treatment
• Clinical assessment and documentation
• Treatment of psychiatric disorders
• Insurance-based services
If you are currently experiencing acute mental health symptoms or are seeking diagnosis or psychotherapy, I’m happy to help you think through appropriate resources, but Eco-Coaching would not be the right container.
WHO THIS WORK IS FOR
This space is for people who are,
• Thoughtful, reflective, and self-aware
• Carrying stress, grief, or transition without wanting clinical Therapy
• Ready to be intentional about how they live, rest, and relate
• Drawn to nature, nervous-system-informed practices, and reflection
• Seeking support that feels human, grounding, and expansive
If you’re feeling called here, trust that.
You don’t have to be broken to seek support.
And you don’t have to do everything alone.
Welcome...let’s continue the journey.
